Built an order management system on Supabase for persistence, with Resend handling transactional email so the business owner and customer both get confirmation the moment an order lands. No third-party checkout SaaS in the loop — the order flow is owned end to end.
Local SEO & performance
Local SEO was the actual growth lever for a business like this: structured metadata, Open Graph tags, canonical URLs, and keyword targeting tuned for "Ottawa pet treats"-style search intent, plus Google Analytics 4 wired in from day one. That combination drove 240+ Google-referred visits in the first week of launch.
Performance wasn't an afterthought either — the site passes Core Web Vitals on mobile with an LCP of 1.6s and a perfect CLS of 0, which matters both for ranking and for not losing customers on a slow connection.
Deployment
Deployed on Vercel, with 577 unique visitors at launch. Straightforward stack, no unnecessary infrastructure — the constraint was shipping something a small business could rely on without a dev team behind it.
